It's Been Too Long!

Wow, so it’s been way too long since we’ve updated this blog so here we go! The show at The Trocadero was amazing. Considering that the ticket prices were $15 dollars each, the fact that we had nearly 70 people come out really means a lot to us. One thing some of you may have noticed if you came to see us at The Troc was the addition of Jim Cooper on bass for most of our set. After much discussion, we’ve decided to see how Near functions as a five piece. We believe that adding bass will help fill out our sound and allow us to experiment with instrumentation a little more. Jim really did a great job at The Troc, and we got a lot of great feedback from you guys on our improved sound, so you can definitely look forward to more Jim in the future! For now he will be playing with us part time as he continues to learn our songs.
We have one more show coming up this Thursday the 22nd at the Coffee Works in Voorhees from 7:30-9:30. Don’t miss this opportunity to come out and enjoy a stripped down set featuring some brand new material! After this show we will be entering a period of high productivity in which we will attempt to finish recording our debut album, hopefully by December. That's it for now, hope to see you at Coffee Works!
